She also served two years as Director of Shows and Events on the ABR Board of Directors.  She is looking forward to GWAS 2009 and having a great fleece Show.

Photography & Alpaca Related Art Competition Show
Andrew MacArthur is going to be our Photographer/Art Show Superintendent for GWAS this year, and Scott and Debbie Miller have agreed to judge this years contest. Look through your photos and check your art work so you can get it entered. It’s going to be a fun and exciting show this year.

Join us for the largest AOBA-certified regional alpaca show west of the Mississippi, with an exciting array of events and seminars surrounding the shows to provide you with a fun and productive weekend. In 2008, alpaca breeders from 29 states brought their best alpacas for outstanding competition in 3 rings with a total of 1220 entries and over 1400 alpacas in the barns.

For 2009, we anticipate over 1500 alpacas, limited only by the number of stalls available. To accommodate growth, we have moved the fleece show to the 2nd floor and we utilize the entire stadium hall 1st floor for stalls. Limit of six (6) stalls per farm & three (3) alpacas per stall, including crias.

Beth Blonder and Linda Skultety are the Co-Coordinators of the 2009 Spin-Off.  Beth and her husband Ron own Red Creek Ranch Alpacas south of Colorado Springs.  Beth has been a volunteer at GWAS in many different capacities and is currently serving her second year as Director of Shows and Events for the ABR Board of Directors.  Linda Skultety has been involved in the alpaca business for the past five years, and has a particular interest in the beautiful fleeces we grow.  She has been the Fleece Show Superintendent for GWAS in the past, as well as for Fall Festival
