Judged by: Don Budy [Bio - PDF]

Join us for the largest AOBA-certified regional alpaca show west of the Mississippi, with an exciting array of events and seminars surrounding the shows to provide you with a fun and productive weekend. In 2007, alpaca breeders from 29 states brought their best alpacas for outstanding competition in 3 rings with a total of 1368 entries and 1189 alpacas actually shown at halter, plus over 1450 alpacas in the barns.

For 2008, we anticipate over 1500 alpacas, limited only by the number of stalls available. To accommodate growth, we will move the fleece show to the 2nd floor and utilize the entire stadium hall 1st floor for stalls. Limit of six (6) stalls per farm & three (3) alpacas per stall, including crias.

Cathy Oyster returns as Show Superintendent for a repeat performance of the well-managed GWAS Halter Shows for the past 4 years. She brings to Denver the same skills and calm, pleasant attitude that AOBA members saw in 2002/2003 and again in 2006 & 2007 when she organized and ran the AOBA National Halter Shows in Louisville, KY.

Linda Skultety will be our volunteer Fleece Show Superintendent, following a very successful Fall Festival show in 2007.
