Ring Information Banner Ads
A Powerful Marketing Opportunity at GWAS
Put your farm’s dynamic Banner Ad on the Ring Information Displays.
Large Judging Event Countdown Displays will be positioned at both exits from the Alpaca barn into the event rings as well as at Show central and at the fleece show. They will display the next 4 events for each ring and be the place for exhibitors to watch to make sure they do not miss their events. Also alpaca information will be displayed at each ring for those viewing the judging. Farms will be encouraged to bring their laptops to monitor these intranet pages from their stalls.
Effective
At the header of this display page, a banner ad will be displayed and changed every 10 seconds. With the top alpaca breeders from across the country watching this display closely for 3 days, this is the place for you to project you farm’s image or your stud’s qualities or more.
With 10 seconds of presentation, a dynamic banner ad will have the most impact with the opportunity to have at least 3 or 4 messages covered. The easy options to prepare your farm’s banner ad are described below. One option is that we will make a dynamic banner ad from your images and messages for just $100 if you prefer.
Pricing
The proportion of time that your banner ad is displayed is expressed in the percentage of time over a day that your banner ad is shown on every display. For example, booking 5% for your 10 second Ad will result in it being shown every 20th time or every 200 seconds (3.3 minutes) or 18 times an hour or 162 times in an 8am to 5pm day on every display.
| Day |
Amount |
Price |
Friday |
Every 1% of time booked |
$20 |
Saturday |
Every 1% of time booked |
$20 |
Sunday |
Every 1% of time booked |
$10 |
Each farm will be limited to a maximum of 10% of each day to allow many farms of every size the chance to participate at this economical price. This will be no limit to the number of different banner ads submitted as long as they are booked in multiples of 1% each day. For example, a farm could book Ad A (the farm image ad) for 2% on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Ad B (the Black stud ad) for 1% on Friday, Ad C (The white stud) for 2% on Saturday, and Ad D (the open farm day) for 2 % on Sunday.
Copy Format Specs
The size for all ads will be standard Leaderboard Banner Ad (728 by 90). There will be a large file size restriction of 1 megabyte because of the broadband 801.11g network. The Banner ads will need to be e-mailed as attachments to Michelle.Ledwich@TeddybarAlpacas.com before April 28, 2008. They must have the same file name as the booking sheet file name. They can be Flash or GIF or any standard internet banner ad format. There will be no public internet access so there is no need for any click-thru URL.
How to create your Farm’s banner ads
The banner ads for the Monitor display page need to be LeaderBoard (728x90) in size and will be displayed for 10 seconds. This is time for at least 3 different messages each lasting about 3 seconds. Each frame can have a number of images such as your logo and farm images as well as the messages. Keep the size of the images down to match the size of the banner ad.

If all this seems complicated, then we offer a service using Floating Chair Design to construct a quality banner ad to your specifications. Plan the 3 frames and the images and text messages on each of the 3 frames together with any farm color and font that you want to use. We will put the GIF banner ad together with transitions and send it back to you for approval. This service costs only $100 for each banner ad and remember that you may want a couple for the farm image and your top stud for example.
This is the information that is required to help make a great banner ad for
your farm. Get this information together early because the deadline for being able to help with the production of your ad is March 31, 2008.
Again, the banner ad will be 728 by 90 pixels (Leaderboard size) and will run for 10 seconds. This is about enough time for three phases (slides) or messages. For each phase you should think about the message desired and it is great if the messages flow from first to second to final conclusion. You should indicate your Ranch’s standard color(s) and font for the messages. The ad will be viewed from a distance so short pieces of text of about 6-8 words per phase would be ideal. It is also best if the pictures are easily recognizable for the same reason.
Please indicate for each message phase the images that you want on the banner ad and it is expected that your logo will be one of these images. You are responsible for ensuring that all images are free of copyright constraints. Moving transitions of the text and images will be provided to attract attention to your complete message. Examples of URLs to your web site or PDFs of your promotional material will also help with an integrated style for your banner ad.
We will provide a draft banner ad within 2 weeks of your e-mailed guidelines for your review. The production service includes one round of revisions which will be returned as the final result within a week of your e-mailed revision requests. Additional revisions can be made for an additional charge. Of course you own the resulting banner ad for your web site, the next show, or your big Google campaign.
Add the number of banner ads that you want developed by the Monitor service to your booking form and include the payment with your booking form. Separately send all the images and instructions to B_Sully@FloatingChairDesign.com and they will return your created banner ads by e-mail for your review.
Copy Id Convention
All Ad identifiers (file names) must start with your farm ARI Id followed by your own identifier for your ad. Note that this name of the file of the banner ad must be the same name that you specified on the Booking sheet.
Booking
The time will be reserved on a first come basis and is expected to sell out quickly at this special pricing. The banner ads themselves do not need to be sent separately until a week before the show but the names of the files need to be specified in the booking. You can also optional pay for us to design and create your banner ads for $100 each. Add any such requests to the booking sheet.
1. Save and fill out the Large Screen Banner Ad Booking Form [Word]
2. Email the completed form to Donnamae Miller
3. Print out the form and mail it with your check payable to ABR to:
GWAS
P.O. Box 1965
Estes Park, CO 80517
When both your mailed payment has been received and also your e-mailed booking details have been received, your booking will be made firm and an e-mail confirmation of the booking will be sent to you. The Booking Deadline will be April 21, 2008. The copy deadline will be April 28, 2008.
Please e-mail any questions to Michelle.Ledwich@TeddybarAlpacas.com
Guaranteed Delivery
This will be a risk free guaranteed delivery agreement. An audit trail of every display of your ad on all three monitors as well as farm laptops will be kept and e-mailed upon request after the show. The ads should be shown at least 96 times per day for each 1 % of the day purchased. If the ads are shown less than 95% of the contracted number of times, you will be entitled to a pro-rated refund.
