12th anniversary of the ABR Fall Festival!

Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies welcomes you once again to a fantastic Full Fleece Halter and Fleece show. Fall colors and spectacular views of the Rocky Mountains are just a start to the makings of a fabulous weekend. We look forward to an exciting show and we hope you'll be part of it.

This year Fall Fest is a Full Fleece Halter Show only. This year's Fall Festival is a Full Fleece Halter show only.  ABR decided to make this a Full Fleece show for Huacaya and Suri based on the show being held later in the year and last year's show results where only 12 entries were Shorn or Composite. Please review the AOBA Show Division Handbook for Fiber Length requirements and testing length:
  Appendix E – Section C.17
  Appendix E – Section C.18
  Appendix E – Section C.20

We know this is a shift for many people so for this year only, if you enter the Halter show and your alpaca’s fleece does not meet the minimum length requirements, we’ll refund your show entry. (This does not include the $6 AOBA fee, we have no control over that).

If you have any questions, please contact the Halter Superintendent or Event Manager.

Our Fall Festival Fleece Harvest continues to accept mail-in fleeces! See the Mail-In Fleece Form [PDF] [Word].

AOBA Certification pending.

Join us for our annual Saturday Evening Event and Special Guest Speaker. For more details, see the Saturday Event Schedule.

2nd year at our new location: The Ranch

Alpaca Breeders of the Rockies will be holding Fall Festival 2008 at The Ranch, Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex for the second year in a row. We now have room to grow! We have expanded our show, added more judges and finally we can offer each participant as many stall spaces as they want or need. ABR will also being holding its second Alpaca Spin-Off as well as our Fiber Arts Competition. Events sure to benefit our participants and please the public.

The Ranch is the official name of the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex. The Ranch-Way Feeds Arena and Pavilions opened in the fall of 2003. It consists of an indoor arena and two identical pavilions, East and West, which are connected to the arena. We will never need to walk outside again (in bad weather!) to reach classes in the arena. The arena is 76,000 square feet with the ring being 150' x 300'. The arena seats 1,500. Each pavilion is 40,000 square feet with approximately 38,000 square feet of concrete floor space and can accommodate up to 196 stalls.

Directions
