The ABR 2006 Fall Festival

< Back to Registration Info Page

This page allows you to prepare your registration form on-line
and conveniently print it from your computer (see printing instructions below).

To be processed, ALL registrations must include:
  1. Payment for all entries requested
  2. Copy of ARI certificates for all Halter show entries
  3. Copy of ARI certificates for all Fleece show entries
  4. Buyer's Permission to Show Form, if applicable
If submitting both Halter and Fleece entries, please provide
separate copies of ARI certificate for halter and fleece
and attach copies to the appropriate entry form

Instructions for completing the form on line.

  1. Test print one form before starting 2

  2. Complete Common Information below.

  3. If using Microsoft Internet Explorer, the best results are obtained by using the print buttons that follow each form.

  4. If using a Netscape Browser, your entries may NOT pass to the window generated by the print button. You should check this before typing in a lot of information. You may have to decide for yourself if you want to:

A: Use the main form which automates some entries but will require specifying pages to print identified by using print preview as described more fully below.
        OR
B: Use the print windows generated by the print buttons entering information there rather then the "main" window (forgoing some of the automated data fill in).

  5. The print buttons following each form work by generating a single page in a new window. To work, your system must allow "pop up" windows.

  6. When submitting HALTER SHOW entries, complete Halter entry form page 1 first,
and, if entering more than 4 animals, complete Halter entry form page 2 for the additional animals.

  7. When submitting FLEECE SHOW entries, complete Fleece entry form page 1 first,
and, if entering more than 4 fleece samples, complete Fleece entry form page 2 for the additional fleece samples. Finally, print the fleece tags that are to accompany your fleece samples. Note: The alpaca's DOB and age when sheared need to be filled out on these tags.
Notes:
1 Requires a browser with JavaScript enabled.
2 Because of differences between computers and browsers,
we cannot guarantee the information will render properly on your printer
Please print 1 test page prior to filling out the forms online.

3 To print:
  • Prior to printing, set your print margins to 1/2 inch (top, bottom, and sides).
Do so from "File: Page Setup" on your browser's menu.

  • Each page for every registration form has a print button below the form. Clicking it will open a "Printer Friendly" version with the information your have entered. It will print one page nicely when the print margins have been set to 1/2 inch.

  • Only one printer friendly window will open at a time; close when printing completes.

  • Close the printer friendly window when done NOT the master registration form (unless you are completely done).

  • Using the print button at the bottom of the form also submits the forms data, however you are NOT registered until the form and payment are received via US mail.

  • It is possible to use your browser's print option from the File menu, however several unnecessary pages will print unless your are careful to use the print preview option to identify the important pages to print and then specify them in the page range to print section.

    Performance And Showmanship Event Info
    Performance Show Information:
AOBA Rules & Guidelines will be followed. Open to all. The purpose of this show is to demonstrate the alpaca's ability and willingness to accept training and to work with its handler through a variety of obstacles. Ribbons are 1st through 6th place plus participation ribbons.

    About The Showmanship Class:
AOBA Rules & Guidelines will be followed. Open to all. Showmanship Class is a demonstration of the handler's ability to show his/her animal at its best advantage at halter. Judging is based on the exhibitor's skills in following directions and style in presenting the animal to a judge for evaluation. The animal used in the presentation is not judged. The handler's attire should be neat, clean, and appropriate for his/her class. Ribbons are 1st through 6th place plus participation ribbons.

    Performance/Showmanship Class:
Sub-Junior Youth Under 8 years. Emphasis is on fun. These classes when held are demonstration only classes

Youth may show in open performance, but not use the same animal as was used in a youth performance class.

All youth classes may be combined if there are less than 10 total youths entered in any two age divisions. Combinations may be Junior/Intermediate or Intermediate/Senior or all Youth.

Junior Youth 8 to 11 years
Intermediate Youth  12 to 15 years
Senior Youth 16 to 18 years
Open All ages are combined - to be used when only one division is available and the equivalent youth classes are not offered

    Costume Class:
Entrants are required to construct (and wear) a costume for themselves and their alpaca entry, following a theme based on any character from a Disney movie. Judging will be based on originality and complexity of costume, ability of handler and alpaca to show as a team (does alpaca handle challenges of the costume such as dangling parts, legging, etc?), and general entertainment value. Each team must present a short story of 300 words or less printed on a 4" X 6" card for the announcer to read regarding the character portrayed. Awards to top 3 entrants in each age group, plus participation ribbons.
